After a year of renovating, we were thrilled to host our first Mindful Living retreat with a dozen students from CU Boulder, Naropa, and CSU at the end of June. The retreat was led by Carla Burns from Naropa and Holly Gayley from CU alongside an amazing team of meditation instructors: Rick, Ana, Lilly, Ally, and Jennifer.
This retreat was an incredible experience. Carla and Holly led empowering practices that deepened my connection to practice, the land, and community. The retreat center itself is a special place: peaceful, magical, and wild.

The weeklong retreat combined movement and meditation to explore connection to self, community, and land. For students and staff alike, it was wonderful to practice under the tent accompanied by the gentle breeze and birdsong. In just a week, a strong sense of community developed.
My retreat experience at Aspen Ridge Retreat has left me with lessons and insights I couldn’t have expected and will stay with me for life.

Aspen Ridge Retreat offered me a singular opportunity to cultivate my spirit, rest my mind, and connect with my body.
Thanks to Toni Williams, our amazing chef, who kept the retreatants nourished and well-cared for throughout the week. And to all who helped with renovations over the past year to make this retreat possible.
I feel like I have grown so much deeper into myself, my connection with the land and my practice, all within a loving, supportive container.

This retreat was so special for the community environment! The land was supportive and the blend of meditation practice and time outdoors made the experience a one of a kind.
Thanks to the Uberoi Foundation for their contribution to this retreat and the Summer Internship in Mindful Living and Contemplative Arts in July.
So grateful to have had this opportunity to step away from the rapidly paced world, look within, connect with others, and immerse myself in the slower pace of nature.
